St. George's Catholic School

Catholic Social Teaching

"And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard.  You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Acts 20:35

Our contribution to Catholic Social Teaching and the Common Good is phenomenal as we support international, national and local charities throughout the school year. Leadership team and dedicated staff inspire pupils to contribute in order to make this world a better place. In doing so the pupils at St. George's continually demonstrate love for all members of God's family.

We work with the following charities:

  • Sixth Form Outreach & Volunteer Work
  • Macmillan
  • World's Big Sleep Out
  • North Paddington Food Bank
  • CAFOD
  • Sport Relief
  • The Passage
  • Catholic Children's Society
  • 2.6 Challenge
  • Save The Children

Awareness of social justice issues are promoted through our weekly assemblies, in RE lessons and through the PSHE programme.
