Exceptional A-Level & BTEC Results

St George’s Sixth Form has enjoyed another very successful A Level and BTEC Results Day. It is very gratifying in St George’s 70th year to see the remarkable progress that the sixth form has made since its first round of results in 2013 when 50 students graduated. This year 158 students graduated with 142 going onto university.

The A level and BTEC results this year represent our best yet in terms of progress. There was a 20% increase in number of Distinctions and Distinction* at BTEC. Nearly a ¼ of all grades at A level were A*-A and over ½ of grades A*-B. These grades have translated into some exceptional destinations.

Hana Khoueiry achieved A* A* A* A and will be studying Economics at Cambridge
Maria Kolesnyk achieved A*A*A* and has entered into the Cambridge reconsideration as well as holding an offer to study Politics and International Relations at Bristol
Reenad Fayez achieved A*A*A and will study medicine at Birmingham University
Abigail Entsir achieved A A A and will study medicine at Kent University.

We are looking on track to have our highest ever cohort – over 30% studying at a Russel Group university in courses as diverse as Law, History, English Literature, Biomedical Sciences, Aeronautical Engineering, Zoology and many more.

It is wonderful to see so many confident and happy young people go into the next stage of their lives.
