St George’s School Celebrates Outstanding A-Level Success with Summer Results

Outstanding A Level and BTEC results confirm St George's RC Sixth Form as the top choice for grades and destinations.
We are delighted to share with you the outstanding results and destinations of St George's RC School Sixth Form, once again reinforcing our reputation for academic excellence and a nurturing, enabling education. 
With an impressive 85% of students achieving an A*-C in A Level and an average grade of Merit in BTEC, they have secured places at super selective universities, apprenticeships and high quality employment opportunities. 
Head of Sixth Form, Mr Morgan, said "I am so proud of all our sixth form students. Their hard work has paid off, as evidenced by the excellent grades and the vast range of exciting courses and apprenticeships they are now able to embark upon.
As a Catholic sixth form, we pride ourselves on enabling all our students, of whatever academic ability, in accessing the best educational and employment opportunities after their time with us. I am so glad that we have once again been able to send our students into the next stage of their lives with confidence and joy. I would like to thank all of our sixth form team and teachers in working so hard over the past year to help our students thrive.

Anghelito Boral: A*A*A who will go on to study Law at City
Tharanie Guruge: A*AA who will go on to study Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology at Birmingham University
Ivo Papinov: A*A*AB who will go on to study Medicine at the University of East Anglia
Bobby Fowley: A*AA who will be taking a gap year and then studying Economics at LSE
Olga Witak: A*ABB who will go on to study Mathematics and Physics at the University of Bath
Aklicya Miklias: ABC who will go on to study Veterinary Science at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
Tiffany Ahouzi: AAB who will go on to study Pharmacology at UCL
Ranady Napolitano: A*ABB who will go on to study Biomedical Sciences at KCL.
For year 11 students considering next steps, St George's RC Sixth Form offers a nurturing, enabling and challenging environment. Our overriding aim is to make sure that you have the confidence and experience to make your next steps into the world of higher education, apprenticeship or employment once you leave us. You will be helped to not only achieve academically but also grow as a young adult and go into the world capable of grasping all it has to offer. 
St George's RC Sixth Form offers:
  • A personalised academic pathway for all with over 30 different A Level and BTEC courses on offer. All A Level students have the opportunity to take the EPQ qualification and The Advanced Academic Pathway will enable those with the highest academic grades take 4 A Levels.
  • University Applications: taster and open days, University summer school programmes, The Access Project, special classes and interview preparation for Oxbridge, personalised support in selecting degree programmes, medicine interviews and entrance exam preparation and 1:1 mentoring with UCAS applications.
  • Developing Enhanced Leadership Skills: Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, subject surgeries, enrichment experiences and drop-down days, Combined Cadets Force, a range of volunteering, fundraising and charity opportunities and opportunities 
  • Cultural Experiences: Global travel with visits and expeditions, trips to museums theatres and galleries, outward bound residentials and field trips, guest speakers, seminars and enrichment through local, national and international partners. 
  • Future Ready: Work experience, workshops, internships, work shadowing, support with personal statements, interview skills and assessment centres, dedicated careers advisors and career and apprenticeship weeks/fairs.
  • Purpose built Sixth Form areas, specialist classrooms, cutting edge technology, dedicated Sixth Form Team and tutors and a trained pastoral team.
    While we are currently over subscribed, we could encourage you to come by on results day on the 21st August if you are keen to attend St George's Sixth. For those going into year 11 next year, our Sixth Form Open evening on Thursday 16th October.
